Guardian Labs Phlebotomy School offers a comprehensive
6-week hybrid phlebotomy certification program combining
online coursework with hands-on laboratory training.
Our program prepares students for entry-level phlebotomy
positions in hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and mobile
healthcare settings.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of phlebotomists is projected to grow approximately 6 percent from 2024 to 2034, which is faster than the average growth rate for all occupations. On average, thousands of job openings for phlebotomists are projected each year, largely due to workforce turnover and the ongoing need for diagnostic blood testing.
Phlebotomy services remain an essential component of healthcare delivery. Demand is supported by an aging population, increased use of laboratory testing for diagnosis and treatment, and expanded access to healthcare services. In Ohio, phlebotomists are employed across hospitals, outpatient care centers, physician offices, diagnostic laboratories, blood donation centers, and mobile healthcare services.
Graduates of the Guardian Labs Phlebotomy 101 Program may qualify for entry-level phlebotomy technician positions upon successful completion of training and applicable certification requirements.
Employment is not guaranteed, and job availability may vary by region and employer.
Phlebotomists: ~6% growth
All Occupations: ~3% growth
Healthcare Support Occupations: Higher than average growth
